I have always found it fulfilling to serve - whether it was in my community, as a neighbor, or volunteering at my son's school – even without knowing it is my life's purpose. When I started volunteering as a facilitator at Jessica’s House, the Lord showed me exactly what I was meant to do.

 

It is the most humbling and rewarding experience to serve an individual that has courageously put their faith in me to guide them in their healing journey. I see growth not only in the client but also in myself because I believe human beings are meant to learn, evolve, and grow from educating one another.

 

I am a member of New Life Christian Center, and I assist in serving the High School youth ministry as a co-facilitator. I believe in encouraging and empowering young women to grow up believing that anything is possible and being a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) allows me to share my talents. As a former clinician at Youth for Christ, Family Concern Counseling Central Valley, I had the privilege to work as a school counselor and experience the many challenges and heartaches children in our community have to endure.
